Marta Ortega Inspires Certina’s Latest Timepiece

April 30, 2024

The DS-7 Chrono Padel Edition stands out with its Padel-inspired design elements. It features a dynamic 41mm dial, accentuated with a checkered pattern and vibrant green and yellow highlights reflecting the Padel court. The green circle surrounds the dial, enhancing the visibility of the chronograph features, which include a 30-minute counter, a 1/10th second display, and a small seconds counter. Additionally, a date display is cleverly positioned at four o’clock, with the chronograph seconds hand presented in striking yellow.

Material choice is a nod to Ortega’s sporting gear; the dial is crafted from carbon fiber similar to that used in Ortega’s racquets. A playful touch is the small yellow Padel ball detail at the six o’clock position, and Ortega’s signature graces the caseback, adding a personal touch to each piece.

The watch is powered by a Swiss-made chronograph movement, ensuring precision with Certina’s Precidrive technology. Its robust construction includes black PVD-coated stainless steel and a water resistance of up to 10 bar. Complementing the sporty look is a stylish black and green fabric strap, making it as functional as it is fashionable.

The DS-7 Chrono Padel Edition by Marta Ortega is not just a timekeeper but a celebration of Padel’s elegance and Ortega’s athletic achievements, designed to appeal to those who appreciate high-quality craftsmanship and the thrill of sports.
