Wilson, the iconic US sports equipment manufacturer, has netted a multi-season partnership with Premier Padel, stamping its mark as the official ball of the high-profile circuit for the foreseeable future.
This deal unites Wilson’s commitment to quality and innovation with the elite standards of Premier Padel. Together, they’ve engineered two bespoke balls tailor-made for the courts of Premier Padel, making Wilson the exclusive brand with the rights to create, promote, and sell the official Premier Padel balls globally.
As the Premier Padel series serves up its inaugural season, Wilson’s balls will take center stage at 10 of the 25 scheduled tournaments, as well as the climactic Tour Finals in Barcelona. This partnership isn’t Wilson’s first foray onto the Padel courts, having already made a successful appearance in Milan and Paris events in late 2023.
Eno Polo, Premier Padel’s CEO, celebrates the union, stating, “We are pleased to welcome Wilson to the Premier Padel family as our official ball supplier. This collaboration, designed for the long term, is based on our shared values of elite performance, innovation, and the growth of padel worldwide.”
The Premier Padel league is set to kick off on February 26 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with its final showdown in Barcelona, Spain, later in the year. Managed by Qatar Sports Investments, the league operates under the governance of the International Padel Federation (FIP).
Jason Collins, Wilson Racket Sports’ Global General Manager, shares the enthusiasm, “We look forward to working with Premier Padel as we come together to deliver high-quality products for one of the most exciting tours in global sport. It has been a long-term objective of Wilson to increase the international profile of padel and to bring the sport to new markets, and this sponsorship supports our vision and commitment.”
This strategic play by Wilson is set to rally the global growth of Padel, underscoring its commitment to expanding the sport’s reach and elevating its profile on the international stage. For more details on this partnership, check out the full story at Sportcal.
