USPA Inter Club Cup 2025: Celebrating U.S. Padel’s Growth

The inaugural Inter Club Cup, held from January 24–26, 2025, at U-Padel in The Woodlands, Texas, brought together eight of the best padel clubs in the U.S. for an electrifying weekend of competition and camaraderie. With over 60 players participating, the event provided a thrilling display of teamwork, skill, and passion, reflecting the sport’s rapid expansion across the country.

From the outset, it was clear that this tournament was more than just a competition—it was a testament to padel’s increasing popularity in the U.S. The event featured an intense round-robin format, followed by high-stakes playoffs that determined the top contenders. Clubs such as The Sports Haus (CT), Pelota Padel (TX), U-Padel (TX), Padel 39 (TX), Padel Club Austin (TX), and Cube Padel (TX) all brought their A-game, ensuring every match was a showcase of skill and determination.

The opening day set the stage with group play, where The Sports Haus and Cube Padel emerged as group leaders, while Pelota 2 and Padel 39 secured second-place finishes. As the competition intensified, the semifinals saw Pelota 2 defeating Cube Padel (2-1) and Padel 39 overcoming The Sports Haus (2-1) to advance to the championship match. Meanwhile, placement matches saw Padel Club Austin Orange securing 5th place with a strong performance against U-Padel, while Padel Club Austin Blue claimed 7th place in a dominant three-set victory.

The final day brought the tournament to an electrifying conclusion. Padel 39 triumphed over Pelota 2 in straight sets, clinching the championship title with standout performances from Rodrigo Banzer and Mauricio Rivera. In the third-place match, Cube Padel edged out The Sports Haus (2-1), demonstrating the depth of talent across the competition. With each match bringing high-energy rallies and strategic play, the Inter Club Cup solidified itself as a must-watch event in the U.S. padel scene.

Beyond the competition, the tournament was a celebration of padel’s community-driven nature.
