The 2024 Pan American Senior Championships, held in Mar del Plata, Argentina, from December 6–8, showcased the growing prowess of senior padel players across the Americas. Representing the United States, the U.S. National Team brought its largest-ever delegation of over 70 players to compete in age divisions ranging from +30 to +55, facing fierce competition from nine nations.
Backed by sponsors including Bullpadel, Padel Haus, Chosen Foods, and Van Eck, the U.S. team delivered standout performances, finishing fifth overall. The tournament featured round-robin matches leading into playoffs and finals, with both men’s and women’s pairs battling it out across multiple divisions.
A Team Effort Yields Memorable Victories
Under the leadership of an experienced coaching team—Marcelo ‘Masa’ Perez, Ángel Espadas, Antonio Martinez, and Agustin Pappa—Team USA displayed resilience, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. The dual contributions of Ana Magrini and Patricio Misitrano as players, delegates, and occasional coaches highlighted the collective spirit of the team.
Among the tournament’s highlights was the dominant performance of Nancy Dingwall & Veronica Costabel, who secured the +45 A women’s championship, and the runner-up finish of Ana Magrini & Lisa Teer in the +55 women’s category.
