U.S. Players to Battle for Wild Card Spots at Miami Premier Padel P1

The United States Padel Association (USPA) has unveiled an exciting wild card tournament to determine American players who will compete in the Motorola Razr Miami Premier Padel P1. Set to take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center from March 18-23, this historic event marks the first-ever Premier Padel tournament in the U.S., bringing the world’s top players to one of the fastest-growing padel markets.

With 24 tournaments across 16 countries on the Premier Padel 2025 calendar, the inclusion of American wild card entries highlights the growing significance of the U.S. padel scene. The USPA’s partnership with Premier Padel ensures multiple wild card spots in both the Men’s and Women’s Main Draw and Qualifying Draw, offering top U.S. players an unprecedented opportunity to compete at the highest level.

“This partnership with Premier Padel exemplifies the USPA’s mission to elevate padel in the United States,” said USPA Vice President Gabriel Perez Krieb. “It’s an incredible platform for our players to test themselves against the world’s best and to further establish the U.S. as a rising force in padel globally.”

The wild card tournament will be held in Miami on March 14-15, where top U.S. players will battle for a chance to earn a coveted spot in the Premier Padel main event. The competition will be limited to eight teams per draw, ensuring an elite-level showdown for American talent.

“We are excited for our best players to have this opportunity to compete against the world’s best,” said Jose de Armas, USPA Board Member and head of the USPA’s Elite Athlete Council. “On short notice, the USPA has set up a fair and transparent wild card selection process that recognizes the importance of USPA rankings and participation on U.S. National Teams.”

  • Dates: March 14-15, 2025
  • Location: Miami, Florida
  • Eligibility: Players must be U.S. passport holders who have either represented the USA in a national team or have a USPA ranking.
  • Draw Size: Maximum eight teams per draw (Men’s & Women’s).
  • Format: Single elimination tournament.
  • Selection Process:
    • Up to two wild card pairings will be determined by the USPA Competition Committee.
    • Remaining spots will be filled based on USPA ranking points (as of February 26, 2025).
  • Entry Deadline: February 27 at 11:59 AM EST.
  • Acceptance Notifications: Players will be informed by February 28 at 11:59 AM EST.

The Motorola Razr Miami Premier Padel P1 is set to be a landmark event for padel in the U.S., and the wild card tournament provides an incredible opportunity for homegrown talent to compete on the world stage.
