February 13, 2024

The Pro Padel League (PPL) is gearing up for an exciting 2024 season with the announcement of their much-anticipated Player Draft, set to unfold virtually on Tuesday, February 13th, at 12:00 p.m. PT/3:00 p.m. ET. This pivotal event promises to shape the competitive landscape for the upcoming season, following the league’s recent reveal of a $1 million prize money purse and an expanded season schedule.

The draft will unfold over three strategic rounds, beginning with the Expansion Team Round, giving the league’s newest additions – Orlando, New York, and the recently welcomed Houston franchise – the first opportunity to bolster their lineups. Following this, Rounds 1 and 2 will see all ten PPL teams making their selections. The 2024 season introduces an expanded team roster, allowing for up to 12 players, up from ten the previous year, with a notable increase in the cap for international talent, now permitting eight international players per team.

Teams will draft in reverse order of their 2023 season finish, ensuring a fair and competitive balance across the board. The expansion teams will also pick in reverse order based on their introduction in the Expansion Team Round. To add a twist, Round 2 will adopt a snake draft format, reversing the order of selection to kick things off.

As the PPL Draft concludes, fans and players alike can look forward to a comprehensive recap of the team selections across the league’s online platforms and social media channels. This draft marks a significant milestone in the PPL’s journey, setting the stage for what promises to be an electrifying 2024 season.

For aficionados of the sport and those eager to catch up on the draft outcomes, details will be promptly shared, ensuring everyone is in the loop. Stay tuned to the Pro Padel League website for further information and to witness how the teams shape up in anticipation of a groundbreaking season.
