In a groundbreaking move set to elevate the sport of padel in India, PadelPark, in collaboration with JSW Sports, has announced the launch of the country’s first-ever professional padel league. This initiative aims to boost the popularity of padel and provide the sport with a structured platform, driving mainstream recognition and professionalizing the game at an unprecedented level.

PadelPark, established in 2019 by founders Ronak Daftary, Nikhil Sachdev, Jigar Doshi, and Pratik Doshi, has rapidly positioned itself as a leader in India’s padel scene. The company has installed over 100 padel courts nationwide, accounting for 70% of the country’s padel infrastructure. With 17 operational courts in Mumbai and plans for 20 more in cities like Delhi, Goa, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Bangalore, PadelPark is spearheading the sport’s mainstream adoption.

The Indian Padel Tour, under PadelPark’s guidance, has seen remarkable growth, expanding from 25 teams in its inaugural season to 120 teams currently, reflecting a 200% annual increase in participation. This surge underscores the escalating demand for padel infrastructure and organized competitive platforms in the country.

The forthcoming professional league is backed by Parth Jindal, who has acquired a 20% stake in PadelPark, further solidifying the venture’s credibility and potential for success. Nikhil Sachdev, Co-founder of PadelPark, expressed enthusiasm about this development, stating, “Padel Park was founded with the mission of making padel accessible and popular across India. We have made significant strides in building the sport’s infrastructure and fostering a passionate community of players. With our upcoming professional league, we are taking the next big step towards cementing padel’s place in India’s sports culture.”

Beyond infrastructure, PadelPark’s Indian Padel Academy offers structured coaching programs across multiple centers in Mumbai, training over 200 players, including both adults and children. Led by veteran Spanish coach Victor Perez, the academy also serves as India’s premier training and certification hub for padel coaches, ensuring the sport’s long-term growth and sustainability.

This strategic collaboration between PadelPark and JSW Sports marks a significant milestone in India’s sporting landscape, promising to elevate padel’s profile and inspire a new generation of athletes to engage with the sport.
