Over 15,000 Tickets Sold for Premier Padel Tournament in Malaga

June 11, 2024

Malaga, Spain – Anticipation is building for the Premier Padel tournament set to take place at the Martín Carpena arena from July 8 to 14, as over 15,000 tickets have already been sold. Organizers are optimistic about reaching their target of 35,000 attendees for this highly anticipated event.

This tournament marks the second Spanish stop for Premier Padel in 2024, following its successful debut as the leading international padel tour, overtaking the World Padel Tour. Founded by Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) in collaboration with the International Padel Federation (FIP) and the Professional Padel Association (PPA), Premier Padel has quickly established itself as a major player in the padel world.

The competition in Malaga is classified as a P1 event, which means it will offer more points than the recent P2 event held in Seville. The Seville event saw an impressive turnout of 35,000 fans at the Cartuja stadium, setting high expectations for the upcoming tournament in Malaga.

The Premier Padel tournament will feature several local talents, adding to the excitement for the home crowd. Bea González, currently ranked fourth globally, will compete with her partner Delfi Brea. The duo has been on an impressive winning streak, clinching four consecutive titles this year.

Malaga’s own Álex Ruiz and Momo González, ranked seventh, are also set to participate. Local stars Jairo Bautista, Fran Guerrero, Marta Caparrós, and Carolina Navarro, pending her recovery from an ankle injury, will join them in the competition.

With just a month to go, excitement is mounting as padel fans eagerly await the return of Premier Padel to Europe. The tournament promises thrilling matches, top-tier talent, and a vibrant atmosphere at the Martín Carpena arena.

For those looking to experience the electrifying energy of Premier Padel firsthand, tickets are still available but selling fast. Don’t miss the chance to witness some of the world’s best padel players compete in Malaga.
