The Motorola Razr Miami Premier Padel P1 is set to make history as the first-ever Premier Padel event in the United States. Taking place from March 18-23 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, this landmark tournament marks a significant moment for the sport’s expansion in North America. Featuring the world’s best male and female padel players, the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour brings its elite competition to Miami, establishing a new chapter for professional padel in the U.S.
A Milestone for Premier Padel
With 24 tournaments across 16 countries in 2025, Premier Padel is the world’s leading professional padel circuit, governed by the International Padel Federation (FIP). Miami’s P1 status places it among the highest-tier events in the Premier Padel calendar, behind only the four Major events and the Premier Padel Finals. The Miami P1 follows Riyadh as the second P1 tournament of the season, setting the stage for an intense competition.
Fans attending the event will experience top-tier action at the Miami Beach Convention Center, where matches will be played on five high-performance courts, including a Center Court and four Elite Courts provided by MejorSet with Mondo turf. The tournament will host 40 men’s pairs and 28 women’s pairs, with 16 male and 8 female qualifiers battling for a spot in the main draw. In collaboration with the United States Padel Association (USPA), wild card entries will be granted to U.S. professional players, offering American talent a shot at competing on padel’s biggest stage.
Fernando Belasteguin Joins as Tournament Director
Adding to the tournament’s prestige, padel legend Fernando Belasteguin has been appointed tournament director. The former world No. 1 for 16 years, who retired in December 2024, will oversee the event’s sporting operations, reinforcing its significance on the Premier Padel calendar.
“Very happy to accept the challenge of being the sporting director of Miami P1, the first Premier Padel tournament in U.S. history. A challenge I am taking on together with Premier Padel in a country so important for the development of our sport. I will do my very best to make it a tournament that involves all the stakeholders in the U.S. market—from the clubs to the players. Hopefully, together we can help grow padel as a sport in the U.S.” – Fernando Belasteguin
A Global Partnership for Padel’s Growth
The event is powered and organized by One16Sports US and NSA Group, two leading organizations in the global padel industry. The tournament’s title partner, Motorola Razr, aims to elevate the sport’s presence in the U.S.
“We are thrilled to be the title partner of the Motorola Razr Miami Premier Padel P1 Tournament, bringing the excitement of padel to the palm of your hand with a smartphone that’s as dynamic and versatile as the game itself,” said Rudi Kalil, President of Motorola North America. “As a fast-growing sport captivating fans worldwide—especially young people—Premier Padel shares our commitment to creating unique, meaningful consumer experiences. We’re excited to play a role in its U.S. debut, connecting both new and existing fans.”
