HEAD Extends Partnership as Official Ball of the Asia Pacific Padel Tour (APPT)

February 3, 2025

HEAD has officially renewed its agreement as the official ball of the Asia Pacific Padel Tour (APPT), reinforcing its commitment to the growing padel market in Asia-Pacific. The extended partnership will see HEAD provide high-performance padel balls for all APPT competitions, including the Padel Open, Grand Slam, and Master tournaments.

This renewal solidifies HEAD’s strategic position in Asia, a region that has seen exponential growth in padel participation and investment. Since the alliance first began in 2024, HEAD has played a pivotal role in supporting the circuit’s expansion and ensuring that players have access to top-quality equipment.

The decision to extend the partnership reflects the rising popularity of padel across the region and HEAD’s longstanding expertise in the sport.

“Interest in padel is growing in Asia and the APPT is responding to demand with a professional circuit at the continental level,” said Wolfgang Grau, Category Manager Racquetsport & Area Sales Manager at HEAD. “We are proud to be part of this development and to continue supporting the APPT with our official balls.”

As part of the new agreement, all APPT competitions will now feature the upgraded HEAD PADEL PRO+ and HEAD PADEL PRO S+ balls—enhanced models designed for greater durability and pressure retention. These improvements ensure a more consistent bounce, better control, and optimal playing experience for professional and amateur players alike.

HEAD is also planning on-site activations during APPT tournaments, including sports clinics, court-side events, and dedicated brand areas for product promotion. This hands-on engagement will further strengthen the brand’s presence in the region and connect with the growing Asian padel community.

Since its launch, the Asia Pacific Padel Tour (APPT) has established itself as the third most important professional padel circuit globally, behind Premier Padel and A1 Padel. With a footprint spanning 14 countries, the APPT has been instrumental in bringing high-level competition to the region.

“We at APPT are delighted to continue to have HEAD as our official ball. They have been with us from the start, and as we grow, we are proud that one of the most important brands in the sector continues to support our circuit,” said Carlos Carrillo, CEO of the APPT.

One of APPT’s standout achievements has been its impact on padel tourism and player mobility. Official statistics indicate that two out of three participants are amateurs, with 78% of them traveling to different Asian cities to compete. This highlights the sport’s rapid expansion and the strong commitment of padel enthusiasts across the region.

As padel’s presence in Asia continues to grow, HEAD remains committed to enhancing the playing experience and fostering sustainable long-term development in the region. With its renewed partnership with APPT, HEAD is not just supplying equipment—it’s actively shaping the future of padel in Asia-Pacific.
