The East Hampton Indoor/Outdoor Club in Wainscott now boasts three state-of-the-art padel courts. Constructed by Lucho G. and Rohan Kamdar under the Brisas banner, these courts have received high praise for their quality and durability, which are capable of withstanding hurricane-force winds.
Shoval Malin, a professional padel player from Israel, expressed his admiration for the courts, stating they are among the best in the world. Malin, aiming to be the top player globally, highlighted padel’s emphasis on strategy and quick reactions over sheer power. “You have to play smarter and react quicker,” Malin said, comparing it favorably to tennis.
The Brisas facility also includes a wellness area with yoga, Pilates, and ceramics classes, adding to the community-centric atmosphere. Shani Rom, head of wellness, emphasized, “We don’t want you to just play and leave—that’s why we have these other earthy and grounding things.”
Brisas aims to be a hub for padel enthusiasts, offering exhibitions, clinics, and private lessons with various membership options. The courts are open to the public, and bookings can be made through the Brisas app or online at brisas.us.
