Balwin Padel, a division of Balwin Properties, is making significant strides in the global sports arena as it gears up to host its first international padel tournament in the Netherlands. From September 29 to October 6, 2024, the prestigious tournament will take place at the Clubhouse at Parallelweg in Beverwijk. This marks a key milestone for the brand, showcasing its expanding influence in the global padel community.

After establishing itself as a leading figure in South Africa’s padel scene, Balwin Padel is now taking its brand international. Known for promoting a healthier lifestyle through the sport, the company aims to introduce its philosophy to a broader audience. The tournament will feature approximately 300 local and international players, competing for various prizes in an event that promises to celebrate sport, passion, and camaraderie.

Renowned padel player and two-time world champion, Willy Lahoz, alongside Balwin Padel Ambassadors, will participate in the tournament. Lahoz has been instrumental in growing the sport in South Africa, and his involvement in this event further solidifies Balwin Padel’s commitment to fostering talent and raising the sport’s profile internationally.

“The eight-day tournament is a spectacular celebration of sport, passion, and international camaraderie. The event will further strengthen the Balwin Padel brand internationally and position it for growth in global markets,” said Sebastian Brokmann, Chief of Padel at Balwin.

Balwin Properties, South Africa’s largest sectional title home developer, is leveraging the sport to highlight its lifestyle estates. The tournament is part of a broader strategy to attract international buyers to Balwin’s properties, particularly in the Western Cape. With high demand for real estate and the growing appeal of remote working, Balwin’s luxury estates offer not only excellent amenities but also impressive potential returns.

As the world’s largest developer of IFC Edge Advanced zero-carbon-ready apartments, Balwin Properties is already a leader in sustainable development. This international tournament signals the company’s growing global ambitions, not only in padel but also in real estate. With projects like the De Aan-Zicht Lifestyle Centre in Cape Town, Balwin is positioning itself as a frontrunner in both sports and property development.

Balwin Padel’s international debut in the Netherlands is just the beginning. With the backing of world-class players and a solid reputation in South Africa, this tournament is set to elevate the brand’s presence on the global stage. As the sport of padel continues to grow, so too does Balwin’s commitment to health, community, and sustainable development.
